Happy New Year
January 1st, 2009We ate pasta (topped with yolk) on the first day of 2009.
That attractive window display showed all the various kinds of pasta. What a good presentation to the hungry tummy.

Snuggling on the bed, reading Anthony Capella - The Wedding Officer.
I was so pleased with its exotic and delicious story.
^ Christmas postcards from a friend. Merry Christmas Everyone!
Our Christmas consisted of christmas songs from apartment speakers, dinner with huzband parents, christmas presents, and krispy kreme doughnuts.
I thought our dog, Lucky is a boy dog. Because my friend said so, he is naughty, and he has tiny winy thing between his legs.
But my neighbor convinced me that Lucky is a girl. *confused
I didn’t bought him a real cake, I just gave him a slice of cake because he had told me before that he preferred martabak, instead of ordinary birthday cake.
Cecelia Ahern - PS I Love You is not my cup of tea. I didn’t finish reading that book and I thought the movie was so-so.
Surprisingly, I love Cecelia Ahern - When Rainbows End until the last page.
I can’t believe it. I still have donut mix (that I bought six months ago), sitting next to dog food in my cabinet.
I chose donut mix over other cake mix because that is the only one which doesn’t need mixer or oven (I don’t have any of them).
Have no idea when I will start making that donuts.
Yesterday was my cousin wedding day. We were their wedding organizer. So we came very early to take care this or that.
Left picture- that’s me, just woke up this morning and my hair was still curly after 8 hours sleep.
Right picture- their wedding souvenirs are cute stuffed bears wearing red shirt. Best wedding souvenir ever.
When I woke up this morning, I found out that I was wearing socks.
Apparently my huzband was aware that I was shivering last night during my sleep.
So he put his black socks on my feet. I didn’t even realise that.
Oh, he is such a sweetie =).
Well, I broke my stubborn promise about not hiring a full time maid.
Me and huzband live in the two bedroom apartment and we had no idea what it would be like if someone unrelated to us staying in our little home.
But ugh, our home became messy since we didn’t have a time to clean it.
So, I open myself to a new relationship with full time maid.
It has been wonderful. She gives us a taste of staying at the hotel.
She makes our bed (no more wrinkled bed sheet), mops every inch of floor, does the dishes, cleans the bathroom, and not to mention picking up dog poop.
She is so worth to keep.
on 2005- How J.lo have been married three times during the time I have been looking for just one man.
on 2006- Hello, where the rest of IDR 200.000 went that I took last night when I knew I only had two glasses of drink?
on 2007- Why I would continue to wear high heels, even though I did not think them comfortable.
on 2008 (now)- How I love wearing pink clothes lately. I call this “pink phase”. I’m not particularly fussy about the pink tone. Any kind of pink will do. From baby pink to shocking pink.
I like the pattern of this aromatherapy oil burner.
It smells wonderful too. My favorite is green tea aromatherapy oil.
So weird. Our dog loves to hide under the couch lately.
I have to pursue him with pringles to get outside.
(I offered him with doggie treats, but that didn’t work. He enjoys human snacks.)
Some of you may have noticed that I run my own shop called Cheerful.
I decided not to continue my shop for the second year.
My sister will pay the rent fee and take over my shop for selling other product.
I have decided to live on a single source of income. I have a new position in my huzband company ;p.
I went for my cousin wedding food tasting.
Don’t know why, he chose me to be his wedding organizer.
Mostly I love all foods. Some of my family members had a problem with the idea of salty foods being served at a wedding.
The wedding is getting closer….less than three weeks to be precise.
…from my mother in law from her last vacation to Bangkok.
The shirt comes with a cute standing cardboard too.
Uhmm.. been really busy with new job being a huzband’s assistant. It’s a very challenging but sometimes, I have difficulty recruiting and managing staffs.
^ That’s me, who needed a sweet slice of cake to help me calm down. Yumm.
Who says that sugar is bad? I don’t think so.
My huzband broke his thong and since it had been used for daily dirty outdoor activity, I bought him a new cheap rubber thong.
What’s the difference anyway? ~ I thought.
But apparently, I would be wrong. That sandal hurted huzband feet especially near his toes.
Price doesn’t lie, does it?
Summer days have quietly slipped into rainy days now.
I don’t get involved in outdoor activities.
I normally like to stay at home if it rains strongly, snuggling on the couch. I love the sound of rain drops on my windows.
Anyway, I have a new job right now =).
My friend visited me today. She transferred data from my computer.
She brought me two bags of peanuts from Bali. She just came back from there.
At first glance, I thought the peanut bag was a spring mix poutpouri.
Because the combination of herbs, peanuts and garlics looked like poutpouri.
Me and my dog very like it.
1. I was trying on new glasses (label still attached) then buying it in an optical shop.
After making a deal with the owner about the price, we talked about where we live.
Apparently she lives at the same apartment building as I do. Plus, her optical shop is located in the same shopping center where my shop is.
What a coincidence!!
2. The other day, while I was driving on the way home, I saw a car. Its number plates (1178) combined with the type of car itself seemed very familiar to me.
Suddenly I realized. It’s my MOM.
I gave a sign by pressing the horn and open the window. She did the same thing.
She shouted to me without stopping the car, “Where did you go?”
“From my shop!!!” I said, still driving too.
What a super duper coincidence, considering Jakarta is a pretty big city.
I just hope that… please.. PLEASE… please…, the next coincidence will be: I win a lottery or something like that.
PS: Ok. I should get my car washed, the front glass is so dirty.
Hubby helped me at my shop. My staff took a day off for her engagement party in her hometown.
We made a clothes selling competition. It was fun.
Of course I won. I sold items more than he did.
Don’t know why, most customers went away when hubby tried to approach them.
Another monthly family gathering. The meeting point was far away from the place I live, I was not in the mood driving that long.
Thankfully my mom picked me up and it was nice sitting on the passenger seat looking at the Sunday view on the way to the restaurant.
We had steamboat meals. I don’t think we ate a lot, but we were filled by drinking up all the soup. Delicious, of course.
I wonder, the best part about running a steamboat restaurant is that the chef does not even need any cooking skills!
The other night, we went to the cinema. I was looking for a comedy movie.
The megaplex played the same Indonesia recommended movie in all theaters.
I cancelled the plan. We sat at the cafe near the cinema.
Something weird. I never went to this cinema since it had been renovated but the entrance alley seemed so familiar to me (picture above).
Maybe I ever read about this place on the magazine.
It’s a funny thing about pet owners.
Even when their own dogs are the most disgusting little devil you could ever imagine, they still think that he / she is cute.
I am one of them.
Even though my puppy chews my jeans, I still thank him because he has just created my own unique ripped jeans.
So if you want to make your own sexy ripped jeans, just give it to a puppy which is teething (puppy wants to chew on things to relieve the itchy-ness of the teeth growing out).
