I read. I watch. I listen. $3.60 is mainly interested in matters of race and gender, particularly in regards to how they function in relation to knowledge production-- knowledge as produced for and in public policy, in academia, and also in popular culture. They are all connected.
With that in mind, this site is made up of what is new or interesting to me, and what I hope you will enjoy. Sometimes serious, sometimes not. As part of the Cypher & Syllable writers' collective, $3.60 is my tiny island, built-up around finding meaning in the sea of public discourse.
Miss Britt - that’s me. I was born in 1980, which means I’m old enough to drink, smoke and vote. I’m happy to say I exercise all of these liberties as needed.
